LONG RANGE AUTOMOTIVE

Long Range Automotive uses the latest technology to design the most suitable shape for a specific vehicle. Precision CAD/CAM drawings are produced for all tanks to ensure they fit properly into the selected location.

We use a Farley computer controlled plasma profile cutting system. With this we ensure accuracy, providing every customer with a high quality, precision made fuel tank.

All welds are full penetration corner to corner MIG welded, using a high quality inert shielding gas and level layer wound MIG wire to ensure good welding penetration and exclusion of porosity in the weld. Tanks are fully internally baffled and an expansion chamber is incorporated in the design of the tank. All tanks are pressure tested and checked by two separate quality control procedures.

We only use top quality materials: 2mm (14 gauge) T125CQ Aluminized sheet steel, brass threaded hose barb fittings, stainless steel hose clamps and high tensile bolts with nylon nuts.

OPERATION:
The ROTRONICA MH10 CHARGE / ISOLATOR allows the alternator to recharge the MAIN BATTERY first and when the alternator voltage is above 13.3 volts, connects the Aux Battery for charging. This ensures a full charge on the main battery followed by a full charge on the Aux Battery. When the MH10 connects the Aux Battery for charging, the GREEN LED will indicated “ON”.
If operating a winch from the aux battery, the MH10 will isolate the aux battery from the alternator charging to assist in protecting the alternator from overloads.
the MH10 battery charge balance circuit is activated when the engine is off. This equalizes the charge voltage of both batteries. However, if either battery is discharged to normal battery voltage (ie 12.6 volts), the MH10 will immediately isolate both batteries to prevent further discharge.
